A professional Facilities Manager is detailed oriented, mechanically inclined, highly organized, has exceptional problem solving skills, is passionate about resolving problems and doing things right, is a strong communicator, understands customer prioritization and sensitivity, and takes pride in their work. This effective combination contributes materially to the overall success of the entire store. \r
This position reports to the company's Store Director\r
General oversight of the Maintenance Department\r
General oversight of the physical building and property, including but not limited to: the interior and exterior shell of the building, all operating equipment, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, lighting and communications systems.\r
Hands on repairs and maintenance of many small items (handy man level repairs and maintenance).\r
Oversight and third party service provider coordination for electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, lighting and communications systems repairs and maintenance.\r
Participation, oversight and management of in-house staff and third party service providers for cleaning and sanitation including of: common area floors, window washing, trash and recycling, commercial cleaning services of high areas, landscaping, parking lot maintenance, sewer and septic cleaning, etc.\r
Oversee and participate in organization and record keeping of building and equipment preventative maintenance management. Development and managing an \preventative maintenance schedule\.\r
Vendor Management - management, oversight and contract management of all maintenance and repair related vendors\r
Procurement of all repairs and maintenance related supplies and equipmentHiring, training, and routine performance reviews of departmental staff (1-2 staff)Labor scheduling, structure, and financial and performance accountability\r
Budgeting develop and manage annual and quarterly maintenance budgets\r
Participating on the management team\r
Additional and Specific Areas of Responsibilities\r
Contribution to Overall Operating Program of Store\r
Awareness of the \total store\ concept\r
Support of the management team of the total store\r
Responsibility to all departments within the store\r
Obligation to fellow employees throughout the store\r
Responsible for contributing to the results of the total store\r
Customer Relations\r
Help create a pleasant in-store atmosphere for the customer.\r
Maintain the customer \priority\ as the main part of store operating program\r
Develop and maintain outstanding employee-customer relations\r
Assist in selection and recommendation of product for the customer\r
Manage and Organize Store Profit through Management of:\r
Cost of Goods\r
Position Requirements:\r
High School education or equivalent\r
Basic understanding of the grocery store industry is a plus\r
Awareness of current and future trends within the grocery industry is a plus\r
Willingness to learn and abide by all store policies and procedures\r

Perform routine monitoring of all building systems, property and equipment for cleanliness and performance\r
Maintain supplies and equipment inventory\r
Mechanically inclined and experienced in using tools for basic repairs and maintenance\r
Support and manage employees to effectively maintain all operating processes, procedures, and operating standards in the area of building repairs and maintenance\r
Manage supplies purchasing, labor, and expense control\r
Coordinate and attend regular staff meetings to communicate recent and\/or pressing topics\r
Management of high workloads and multi-tasking through strong organization skills\r
Professional, positive and courteous oral and written communication\r
Create and maintain department records\r
Maintain consistent up times of all building systems and equipment\r
Be a strong and fast learner of processes and operations related to building and equipment repairs and maintenance.\r

\Tools and Equipment Used: Carts, dolly, cardboard baler, pallet jack, box knife, hand tools, power tools, power washers, leaf blower, pallet jacks, large vehicle driving.\r

Standing\/Walking: Constantly standing \/ walking throughout the workday on hard floor surface.\r
Sitting: Occasionally sitting in the office and during breaks and lunchtime.\r
Lifting: Occasionally lifting 50# boxes of products from floor to waist \r
Carrying: Frequently carrying boxes of products weighing 30# for 6'.\r
Push\/ Pull: Frequently pushing and pulling carts at 35# force for 150' to stock throughout the store and to retrieve grocery carts from the neighborhood about two times a month. \r
Climbing: Frequently climbing stairs to the office \r
Bending\/ Twisting: Often at the hips and knees to lift, however squatting is recommended. \r
Kneeling\/ Crawling: Occasionally kneeling can be performed to lift boxes, however squatting is recommended. Crawling is never required.\r
Reaching: Occasionally reaching is performed to stock products in sale area displays up to 65\ high and 16\ deep.\r
Hands\/ Arms: Constantly using arms and hands throughout the workday.\r
Work-site conditions: Frequently work is performed throughout the store, in storage rooms, mechanical rooms, etc. \r
