General Responsibilities
Manager Corporate Facilities
The Manager Corporate Facilities – Headquarters, is responsible for tactical and operational management of all corporate facilities locations for maintenance and construction activities. This role acts as the main point of contact for all day-to-day facilities activities. The principal objective is to ensure service delivery is to a quality standard, delivered in a consistent manner and appropriate to business need. Manage on-site maintenance staff, capital & operating budgets, external service providers, building announcements, various committees and the inclement weather team & action plans.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Ensure the service providers deliver their contracted service levels to the standards required, within the cost guidelines established.
Liaise with business units to confirm consistency in delivery and occupant needs are met.
Proactively develop and upgrade standards of delivery to maintain leading edge approach.
Ensure business units are supported through appropriate delivery
Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance within agreed standards and specifications.
Key Result Areas:
Work with business units to ensure building and grounds maintenance programs are in place and appropriate to meet needs.
Implement assessment programs to provide efficient and fast review of building related issues, thereby minimizing the time for decision making.
Manage Service Providers ongoing maintenance standards and costs to ensure delivery is as contracted and is appropriate.
Implement agreed facilities standards to ensure consistent delivery.
Manage energy consumption initiatives to ensure high standards are continually achieved and there is regular benchmarking with established standards and milestones.
Develop facilities management techniques to ensure appropriate service levels are provided, as fits the situation, equipment, plant, structure etc.
Ensure appropriate and consistent reporting of the building programs is established and implemented to deliver key data to relevant business units.
Manage the facilities modules of the established technology platform to capture and report pertinent portfolio life-cycle information.
Implement agreed facilities standards, techniques and tracking mechanisms across the portfolio of buildings, plant and equipment to ensure a consistently high standard of delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a degree in a business related discipline.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of ten years in a similar or related role in either a building, property and/or portfolio management capacity, with hands-on experience of dealing with a large properties or property portfolios, with substantial and diverse capital investment, energy management and preventive/reactive maintenance program management.
Excellent understanding of buildings and systems and the complex nature of their operation.
Extensive knowledge of building construction, repair and maintenance.
