Pet Paradise is seeking an  experienced Regional Facilities Manager to join our Team.\r
Summary:  Oversees all maintenance and capital expenditures at Pet Paradise facilities through the management of maintenance employees and contracted vendors within a defined region. \r
Duties and Responsibilities:    \r
Oversees the maintenance, repairs & capital expenditures at all facilities within a defined region.\r
Hires and manages facility maintenance associates at each facility. \r
Develops relationships with local, regional and national vendors to solicit services and maintenance contracts for annual maintenance needs such as landscaping, pool, pest control, HVAC, etc. in order to ensure value and quality workmanship. \r
Creates a preventive maintenance and repair schedule for all facilities to ensure proactive upkeep of assets. \r
Evaluates and monitors utility usage expenses at each facility and participates in the develoment and implementation of energy efficiency at each resort.\r
Conducts self in accordance with company standards of conduct, cleanliness and safety.\r
Provides on the job training to maintenance employees.\r
Provides coaching and counseling when necessary based on employee performance.\r
Ensures safe practices at all times through implementation of safety training for facility associates on an annual basis.\r
Consistantly communicates and coordinates maintainance work with the resort operations, management and staff.\r
Oversees the purchasing of authorized supplies and maintains records inventories and budgets.\r
Ability to travel within specified region.\r
Consults HR in all employee relations matters. \r
Other duties may be required as requested by Management.\r
Technical school graduate and\/or specialized skill certification(s) in one or more of the technical trades. Experience managing the maintenance and capital expenditures of a multiple building campus or corporate owned facilities. \r
Language Ability:\r
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Bi-lingual - Spanish speaking preferred. \r
Math Ability:\r
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. \r
Reasoning Ability: \r
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. \r
Computer Skills: \r
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  \r

Valid driver's license\r

Strong organizational skills\r

Work Environment:\r
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.\r
Physical Demands:\r
The employee must occasionally lift and\/or move up to 50 pounds.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands.  The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. \r
The Regional Facilities Manager is an exempt-level position; hours worked per week are based on business volume and demand but will exceed 40 hours per week; weekend and holiday availability is a must.\r
