Vertical Facilities Project Manager','192214','Project Management','!*!Burns & McDonnell is looking for an experienced Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ to continue a strong local presence for strategic clients in the manufacturing, commercial, higher education and industrial/utility facilities markets. This individual will help grow these market segments in the Phoenix and Tucson areas as well as work closely with the Regional Global Practice Manager. This individual will provide leadership for execution for the execution of an integrated design team project approach, further client relationships, and continue a long standing reputation for quality and reliable project delivery. Ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:Directs and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of extensive scope or a combination of smaller projects of similar scope.Building rapport via direct coordination with internal and external clients.Initiate or assist in various types of contract negotiations and preparation.Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting and establishing critical project objectives.Manage project resources and sub-consultantsProvide inspirational leadership by attracting, retaining, motivating and developing high-caliber, multi-discipline talentCollaborate with managers, marketing staff and other Burns & McDonnell Global Practices to identify, highlight and communicate applicable project information from the client’s programs in support of the other business development opportunities that are strategically aligned with company’s objectivesDevelop pursuit strategy, capture plan development, go/no-go decisions in order to pre-sell projects to the client and strategically lead business development efforts.Participate in necessary regional trade associations and professional organizationsLead project teams in the office and in the fieldAs needed, perform duties such as space programming, schematic design, the production of construction documents, code compliance checks, development of construction details, and project specificationsAssist in the design control/construction administration phase and project close-outSupport staffing strategy, fee estimating and schedulingProvide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.Other duties as assigned.','!*! Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or related field from an accredited institution.Minimum 7 years of progressive experience, including 3 or more years managing engineering or architectural design projects.At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing, commercial, higher education or industrial / utility facilities markets involving vertical construction. Variety preferred.Experience with vertical construction.Demonstrated ability to develop and manage work plans, schedules and budgets and provide leadership to a diverse project team.Demonstrated ability to lead business development pursuits.Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters.Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
