Profile

The Facilities Manager, reporting to the Director of Information Security & Facilities, manages the proper operation and maintenance for all Optics 1 facilities. This includes primarily the Bedford, NH headquarters, as well as support for satellite facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary point of contact for day-to-day facility matters.
Coordinates work assignments among building technicians, vendors and contractors.
Oversees janitorial staff and contractors to ensure facility maintains required standards, including clean rooms certifications.
Coordinates and reviews price quotes for the procurement of supplies, services, PM contracts and labor for projects.
Oversees the scheduling, maintenance, inspection and monitoring of all building systems including: HVAC, water, humidification, electric and other systems to ensure efficient operation.
Contributes to capital project budgets and operating budget reports
Coordinate intra-office moves
Manages facility expansions and relocations, as well as other various facility projects and renovations
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage vendors, contractors and internal maintenance technician
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
5 to 10 years of related experience and training.
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation
This position is very hands on and requires knowledge of commercial building systems
Previous experience managing various commercial building systems and contractors, including but not limited to: HVAC, clean rooms, plowing, landscaping, plumbing, janitorial and electrical.
Ability to respond 24/7 to critical facility emergencies and alarms.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be a U.S Citizen.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior project management experience
Experience with procurement and contract negotiation
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
Certification in facilities management a plus.
Experience working in an ITAR environment
EDUCATION:
Trade license(s); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluency in the English Language is required
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and Excel.
TRAVEL
Some local and US travel (to satellite offices) required up to 10%

Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 to 30 pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
Work Environment:
While performing the aforementioned job duties, the employee mainly works in a professional office setting that is relatively quiet and has temperature control systems.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
