MAINTENANCE / FACILITIES LEVEL III
Under limited supervision, performs mechanical duties such as installing, trouble shooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment and systems. Assembles and installs production equipment/machinery. In repairing equipment or systems, isolates malfunction, disassembles as required, replaces any structural parts as needed, and reassembles. Uses a wide variety of hand and power tools to perform duties. Conducts preventative maintenance check on equipment/systems. Responds to non-routine or critical conditions and situations. May provide technical guidance and/or training to lower level Maintenance Mechanics.
NORMAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing and mathematical ability. Must possess well-rounded knowledge of mechanical, electrical and facility maintenance practices and procedures, which one would normally acquire through five years of technical maintenance experience, or two years of trade school and three years of related experience.
