We are seeking a Facilities & Construction Coordinator to join our team!
A successful candidate will have experience in small to mid-sized commercial construction and maintenance projects. Ideally have the background/experience of handling the maintenance of a facility or investment property to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company.
Requires a professional demeanor in all interactions tenants, vendors, contractors and investors with a high level of communication in a fast paced environment.
There will be local travel and up to 25% of traveling throughout our locations - from the top of WA to the bottom of CA and over to ID.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements for building structures and systems
Conduct and document regular facilities and construction project inspections
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
Coordinate internal-office moves and furnishings
Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
Assist in the negotiation of contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving
Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met
Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
Check completed work by contractors and vendors
Monitor expenses and payments
Assure security of the facilities
Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
Assist and oversee from time to time facility and operation central services such as telephone systems, copiers, uniform services, security, cleaning, waste disposal and parking, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
? Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities or Construction Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management
Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management and business administration
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, procurement, contracts, sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
Equivalent Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation
Familiarity with construction management software
Strong leadership qualities
Strong negotiation skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
