General Description of Position:
This position is responsible for planning and oversight of the physical facilities of the Kokomo Service Area (including locations in Kokomo, Logansport, Peru, and Rochester). Additionally, the position coordinates Facilities collaboration with the college’s Systems Office.
Major Responsibilities:
Facilities planning
In coordination with campus leadership and the college’s Systems Office, directs the following:
New construction and major renovation projects from planning through implementation, and
Long-term regional facility needs including new leasehold, new construction, and cooperative or joint use facilities.
Room Utilization Reports
Submittal of R&R and capital requests to the college’s Systems Office
Tracking of the departmental budget and expenditures
Development and management of equipment maintenance contracts and custodial contracts
Reports regularly on the progress toward annual goals and action plans
Builds and sustains a process-managed organization and culture that delivers measurable value for the organization targeting efficiency and cost optimization in functional areas.
Serves as a member of the Chancellor’s cabinet
Collaborates with other cabinet members to implement the College strategic plan across the campus service area. Executes strategic initiatives and resource allocation at a local level to achieve college-wide and campus-level metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience – Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, with five years related work experience or
industry related certifications with seven years related work experience is required.
Experience with the management of construction projects is required.
Supervisory Experience – Three years supervisory experience is required.
Must be able and willing to travel.

Work Hours:
this is an salaried exempt position however; Kokomo campus is in the middle of a large transformation project and may include extra evening and weekend hours.
