MIRACORP, Inc., a firm specializing in government contract services, seeks an experienced Facility Maintenance Worker , supporting our federal customer at their site in Phoenix, Arizona.General maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge.Candidate MUST have experience:Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, toilets. Painting structures and equipment.Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, sidewalks, paneling and floor tiles.Hanging doors and installing door locks.Provide maintenance of several complex, computerized non-standard systems, i.e., water heaters, automated lighting control, Cardkey security systems.Provide preventive maintenance, repairs and scheduling of repairs for automatic and manual gates, sewage lift station, sump pumps, domestic water well, overhead doors, air compressors, pressure washers, fountains, ice machines, entry doors and door hardware.Perform maintenance of components for: electrical, lighting, building automation, door hardware, security, roofing, water treatment and plumbing.Perform furniture changes, assembly, repairs, take down, design, and relocations. Provide oversight and assistance to contractors performing larger office furniture relocations and changes. Perform office alterations.Properly handle hazardous materials (light bulbs, paints, ballast, lubricants, solvents.)Perform emergency clean up services, sometimes after hours.Provide re-lamping of approximately 1100 lighting fixtures, including cleaning lens and cans.Provide electronic monitoring of the HVAC equipment.Physical Effort:There is a requirement to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds frequently and items that are heavier with the assistance of other employees or lift equipment.Work assignments require walking on a variety of surfaces, climbing, kneeling, stooping, pulling, pushing, standing, twisting, and sitting.Must have the physical, mental, oral, visual, and audio ability at a level to assure the duties described are performed in a safe and satisfactory manner.Minimum Qualifications:Occasional travel required.High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Six (6) years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and must pass a thorough pre-employment background check and drug testing.
