See BelowResponsibilitiesFacilities Specialist NorthvillePosition Summary: The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the repair and general maintenance of the grounds, electrical systems, building, equipment and related processes in order to support the facilities management department and uphold site standards and corporate compliance with regards to safety, security, and environment.Position Responsibilities: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Complete carpentry/construction projects such as building shipping pallets/crates, repairing drywall, replacing ceiling tile, and adjusting door closures and hinges. Perform HVAC maintenance such as replacing filters, grease bearings, power wash condenser coils. Complete plumbing repairs such as fixing leaking faucets or unclogging drains. Activate and deactivate building fire and burglary alarm systems; respond to after-hours security calls. Provide back-up support to building security systems and procedures. Act quickly and effectivity to resolve corrective maintenance issues. Maintain an organized and hazard-free work area in compliance with all ZF policies and governmental guidelines to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Perform regular inspections to equipment; repair equipment as needed, including the fire suppression inspections. Setup and take down conference room equipment, furniture, file cabinets, and small kitchen appliances. Assist the Shipping and Receiving department as required with processes, deliveries, and special requests. Operate forklift to load and unload trucks, distribute packages, and/or sort mail. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies. Train team members to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment Testing equipment for refrigeration systems and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. Responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems. Perform routine and ad-hoc project work in order to maintain grounds, building, and equipment.
