Facilities Maintenance Worker

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our corporate Facilities division supporting General Atomics locations throughout San Diego County.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works under close supervision with detailed instructions.
Processes associated paperwork.
Loads and unloads vehicles of material and equipment, requiring the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Participates in relocating office furniture and equipment as required.
Participates in daily conference room and office build outs, disassembles and set ups.
May perform limited maintenance on vehicles such as fueling, washing, etc.
Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a working knowledge of and discretion in safely operating hand and power tools.
Must be customer focused and possess: (1) a valid California driver's license with a good driving record verified by the DMV; (2) ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.; (3) ability to read and understand blueprints and other mechanical drawings; (4) basic analytical ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice; (5) good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to work with all levels of employees and to accurately communicate, document and report; and (6) basic knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field.
The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
