maintain documentation of sameEstablish documentation\/record-keeping system to maintain Edmonds Community College Head Start\/Early Head Start & ECEAP compliance with Davis-Bacon Act of 1931 as it relates to prevailing wages\/benefits on facility projectsSecure and maintain documentation of all required permits, certifications and licenses for all vehicles, facilities and grounds required in the operation of Edmonds Community College Head Start\/Early Head Start & ECEAP programPrepare reports based on information received from the facility\/fleet monitoring, data management and service feedback systemsManages facility\/fleet services budgetMaintain fleet\/facility inventoryPurchase and procure adequate fleet and facilities supplies, materials and equipmentSCOPE OF AUTHORITYThe Facility\/Fleet Manager is a member of Management Team, which is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall management of Edmonds Community College Head Start\/Early Head Start & ECEAP servicesParticipates in the annual self-assessment, taking a leadership role for a service area, implementing evaluation tasks, writing reports, developing corrective action plans and implementing same within a designated timeframeThe Facility\/Fleet Manager position interfaces with all Edmonds Community College Head Start\/Early Head Start & ECEAP service areas of education\/disabilities, health\/ family services, food service, enrollment, Leadership Council, technology, and organizational\/ administrative servicesThe Facility\/Fleet Manager supervises custodians and service area volunteers, signing timesheets, conducting performance evaluations with the classified employees and work task reviews with temporary hourly employeesThe Facility\/Fleet Manager participates in all Facility\/Fleet hiring, makes employment recommendations, and sees to the implementation of job descriptions providing suitable guidelines for task successThe Facility\/Fleet Manager provides oversight and is accountable for service quality and complianceJOB KNOWLEDGEThe Facility\/Fleet Manager must have knowledge of:Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, specifically accessibility guidelines for buildings, facilities, grounds and playgroundsEnvironmental protection strategies for the benefit of the children, staff, and organizationHead Start & ECEAP Performance Standards pertaining to facilities, grounds and playgroundsKnowledge of local, county, state, and federal codes, rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to building, grounds, and playgroundsKnowledge of vehicle and automotive equipment maintenance and repairSkilled in current practices, products, and technology as they relate to facility and fleet maintenance services including grounds care, custodial services, repair to facilities, vehicle, furniture and fixtures, equipment care, and security programsUnderstanding of facilities' role in the institution's educational missionAbility to plan and perform both long- and short-term facilities and fleet assessmentsBudgeting, planning, project design and implementation, operations and maintenance, and supervisionAbility to foster and maintain positive work relationshipsComputer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs\u00a0\u00a0Working knowledge of appropriate use, storage and disposal of cleaning fluids, paints, pesticides, all cleaning and chemical agents for designate space and occupantsWorking knowledge and skills in repair and maintenance, techniques to solve building, facilities, grounds, vehicle, and equipment problemsWorking knowledge of appropriate use of small hand and power tools, rug and floor cleaning machines, mops, rakes, shovels, and broomsOperating a motor vehicle in a variety of weather conditions, may require a CDLWalking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces to perform work, possible exposure to elementsAbility to accurately complete and\/or prepare a variety of internal and EdCC forms;
