Job ID 21000LTFAvailable Openings 1PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Leads a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of Facilities and Maintenance activities. Maintenance includes completion of tasks to maintain/repair facility equipment as well as coordinate repairs and service with vendors for preventative maintenance and unplanned repairs. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance responsibilities may include a variety of activities such as: Maintaining plant/equipment systems and components, building infrastructure, and/or working with vendor services in task completion. Maintaining heating and cooling pumps, motors, ventilation systems, gas furnaces, steam and water burners, rooftop package units, air handling units, clean room pressure monitoring systems, warehouse monitoring systems, and other devices to maintain HVAC systems. Maintaining building codes, installation requirements, and relevant regulations. Administering and scheduling work. Assisting in facility equipment upgrades and adhering to project deadlines. Assisting engineering personnel and providing technical support as needed. Demonstrating basic control system installation, programming, and troubleshooting skills. Performing basic computer skills on a frequent basis. Responding to unscheduled maintenance emergencies when needed. Participating in the rotation of after hour support as assigned. Managing operation, preventive maintenance and repair on installation and operational functions for facility and utility of facility and pilot/ process equipment. Troubleshooting and performing repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in association of facility pilot, small scale process and lab equipment systems. Ordering, maintaining, and organizing spare/replacement parts for facility equipment and HVAC systems. Participating in system/equipment validation and commissioning activities as assigned. Responsible for following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in performing above work. Maintain high quality of service at all times. Maintain general housekeeping of working area and plant. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions with minimal supervision. Contacts are frequently with individuals representing outside organizations, especially in a technical aspect for facility and process equipment service and operations. Acts as a subject matter expert in the IQ/OQ task, preventive maintenance and repair of site equipment. Determines methods and procedures on process and facility PM SOPs. Maintains governmental permitting activities to meet requirements and permit compliance. Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations. May escalate difficult/complex issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary. Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor. Follow all Fresenius Policies. Other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations. See applicable addendum for department or location specific functions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is such that PPE would be required in short intervals. SUPERVISION: None EDUCATION: High School Diploma required; Technical Certification or Associate’s Degree is desirable. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 5 – 10 years’ related experience.Forklift/ Industrial Power Equipment usage Certification.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, technical advisors, service technicians, regulatory representatives and site peers and management.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
