Red Classic - Facility Manager
OVERVIEW:
The Facility Manager will manage a fleet of trucks/trailers/drivers to ensure optimum productivity, service levels, and revenue growth. This key role must have a strong leadership/management background in the transportation industry while effectively meeting the needs of drivers and customers in their assigned region.  Responsible for the retention, coordination, direction, and supervision of all regional HUB activities and personnel. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote safety first by ensuring a safe work environment, activities, and habits
Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to subordinates (this includes: performance standards,  monitoring performance via Driver Scorecard and a Driver Manager Scorecard)
Establish a solid working relationship with each driver in assigned region
High level of customer service to assigned and designated drivers    
Responsible for meeting/exceeding commitments with customers in assigned region
Communicate effectively and professionally with assigned levels of customer personnel while developing positive and solid relationships to enhance growth
Manage investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints and issues
Work with all Red Classic internal departments to resolve customer or company issues when necessary
Responsible for meeting/exceeding driver and owner operator capacity needs and retention goals
Provides detailed and organized information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
Ensure optimum driver/unit performance, utilization, and revenue
Manage all Hub operations to ensure that hub personnel comply with all company policies, procedures, processes, safety rules, and governmental regulations-Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Prepare and make recommendations to management as necessary to enhance the operation
WORK EXPERIENCE
Seasoned professional with the ability to successfully and effectively manage and lead a team
Minimum of 5 years experience in transportation and leadership/management required
Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
Ability to listen and understand information and ideas as presented
Ability to recognize problems, evaluate a situation and create a positive solution that benefits individuals, the team and the company
Effective map reading skills as it pertains to the transportation industry
Must be very detail oriented and extremely technical and computer savvy
A strength and focus on being proactive instead or reactive
Must be self-directed and capable of working independently while also leading a team and being part of team
Instill a positive team and safety first mentality
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related is preferred
Valid driver's license and an excellent driving history
Flexible for travel - Approximately 30%
