Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have excellent time management skills. Must be able to accurately estimate completion times to meet established deadlines. Follows oral and written directions in performing duties and completes assignments from a computerized work order system. A pleasant, courteous and assuring manner is required to ensure quality customer service. Must be capable of climbing and working from ladders, working outdoors in all types of weather conditions, and lifting and carrying heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs.) on a daily basis. As with all Facilities Management staff, overtime, weekend calls and holiday work, are required. Job Description: This part-time temporary position is located at the Downtown facility with Central Bank of Boone County. Performs routine and preventive maintenance and repair to building landscapes, plantings, and lawns to ensure exterior of facilities present a positive appearance to the community. Performs a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks relating to the appearance of buildings and grounds by performing routine maintenance to flower beds, plantings and landscaped areas. Includes weeding, application of herbicides and pre-emergents; planting and maintenance of annuals and application of mulch to select areas, and removal, and re-planting of areas as necessary. On a scheduled basis, sweeps sidewalks, empties exterior refuse containers and cleans exterior of ATM machines ensuring most aesthetic and pleasurable experience possible for customers and staff. Performs routine duties and requested repairs quickly and accurately to display a positive image for the bank and the department. Responds to service calls promptly to ensure quality customer service. Establishes a good working relationship with bank employees and bank service companies. Identifies maintenance\/repair needs and performs needed tasks or reports to Landscape Technician. May make immediate decisions to \u201csatisfy the customer\u201d, however, purchasing and various decisions which would impact the department, or Central Bank of Boone County on a long-term basis, are to be left to the Landscape Technician. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives. Works with coworkers and interacts with customers at the downtown location, all branch facilities and at all ATM sites. The environment requires a fast paced work effort because of the variety of situations which may arise on a daily basis, and ever changing priorities. The environment will be constantly changing from facility-to-facility, with encounters in very different physical surroundings, as well as, different bank personnel at each location. Must work closely with Landscape Technician, Building Services Technician, Mechanical Services Technician, bank employees and personnel from service companies from within the community on a daily basis. There is a need to work closely with the supervisor of the bank\u2019s cleaning company to do some cleaning which might arise because of an emergency or scheduling conflict. In completing routine and emergency repair may interact with bank customers.
